A team that sees a hard project not as a battle, but as a good day at work.

Sparta began as a small group of engineers called in to rescue projects that had stalled elsewhere. The pattern repeated: the system had not failed because the code was bad, but because nobody had sat with the business owner to understand how the work actually happens before building.

So we built the team around that session. Today we work remote and hybrid, growing toward 20 engineers, designers, and marketers — and that first session is still the most important thing we do on any project.

When a project arrives that a previous team called unsalvageable, we do not start by judging it. We start by reading it. In most cases the real complexity turns out to be far smaller than it looks, because much of it accumulated from temporary decisions nobody ever revisited.

This is not bravery, it is habit. A team that meets hard problems regularly stops being afraid of them.

No project here depends on one person. Every system we build is known by more than one engineer and documented during the build, not after. One of us being on leave or busy should never become your problem.
